Pre-Vocational Bricklaying and Plastering Competitions.
On Friday the 8th May 2015 the Incorporation once again sponsored the Inter College, Bricklaying and the Plastering competitions.
The City of Glasgow College hosted the competition in Rogart Street, in Bridgeton where 8 bricklaying students and 6 plastering students worked diligently to produce a very high quality of workmanship, especially for student who have not long taken up the trowel.
There were three judges for the bricklaying competition, one from each of the Colleges and two for the plastering competition as only two of the colleges were represented.
The judges were most impressed with the quality of the workmanship and choosing the winners was no easy task as there was so little between the students. Ultimately there can be only one winner in each of the trades and so the difficult choice had to be made.
