Box Opening 2024

On Thursday 23rd May, we held our 340th Anniversary of the Box Opening where Deacon Grant placed items of interest from his year - Christmas card from King Charles III (a member of the Incorporation), the Bronze certificate from the Gardening competition and the first edition of the Incorporation's newsletter started in October 2023. We were also fortunate to have 6 new members welcomed with their certificates and Burgess tickets (an American, an RAF Airman, a stonemason and three homegrown). Entertainment by Kathleen Macdonald and Orin Simpson with traditional music was superb. We had our usual guests from The Incorporation of Wrights in Glasgow and we were delighted to have the Deacon Convener present.
